iphone 3g for parts or not working .

black iphone 3g. had a cracked screen, but have since had new screen and housing fitted. was working fine, but then something was sticking out the top of phone, so dont think it was fixed properly,. it does not switch on but makes a noise when connected to charger, only had phone for couple of months.
